Transportation- contracted with Alleghany in motion and provides seniors a way to and from the Senior Center. Only the month of June 2021 brought seniors into the new center. We did 40 trips of transportation this year alone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Alleghany County is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northwestern North Carolina and was formed out of Ashe County by an act of the 1858-1859 session of the North Carolina legislature. One of our goals is to preserve the qualities of our county while moving toward the future with technology and economic development.
