Transportation
Transportation- contracted with Alleghany in motion and provides seniors a way to and from the Senior Center. Only the month of June 2021 brought seniors into the new center. We did 40 trips of transportation this year alone.
Alleghany County is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northwestern North Carolina and was formed out of Ashe County by an act of the 1858-1859 session of the North Carolina legislature. One of our goals is to preserve the qualities of our county while moving toward the future with technology and economic development. With our small-town charm and Southern atmosphere, Alleghany County is a great place to live, work and just enjoy life.
Meals
Lunch is provided to Seniors via congregate, drive thru, or delivery (based on qualifications).
Transportation
We contract with Alleghany in Motion to provide Seniors a way to and from the Senior Center.
